Definition: Glass Puddiner
Frank Bush, here playing an Irishman named Mike, is looking for a Jewish
man whom he had hired to install a glass window. Mike refers to the Jew
as a "glass puddiner," which appears to be a comic neologism
deriving from the words "put-it-in-er" (i.e. a person who "puts
in" windows). Later in the scene, Bush exits and then reappears in
a different costume as Solomon, the Jewish character. That character refers
to himself as a "glass puteen," i.e. a person who installs and
repairs glass windows.
